Cliffside is a relative newcomer to the cabinet hardware industry, launching in 1987 by one man, Walter Zaleskie, who ran the initial operations out of his basement. Now more than 25 years later, Cliffside is no longer a basement operation, with a large warehouse office buildings in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. One of the advantages of being so recent is that it's one of the only large companies in the business where the founder is still alive and involved. The company continues today to be family owned and operated, and Cliffside prides itself on the quality of it's personalized service.

Cliffside's real specialty is their brass cabinet hardware. While they do work in other materials, inlcuding a beautiful line that merges metal with crystal, the majority of their products are made in solid brass, including extensive lines of brass knobs, pulls, hinges, and appliance pulls.
